128/256/512 MB mp3 Players with SD expansion slot

Options
This is as cheap as some of the SD card only players but seems a much better package £11.69 + P&P.

Rio Cali Sport 128Mb Yellow MP3/ WMA Player USB2 with FM Radio, Voice Recorder, Stop Watch, SD/MMC Expansion Slot & Rubberised Coating (New, 1yr RTB Warranty) also comes with CD to MP3/WMA ripping software.

or this 256mb version - not as ugly £16.39

I've bought 2 of each for presents - I'll report back when they arrive.

Delivery came within 24 hours and am well pleased with them - notice prices have changed slightly since OP - one up one down?

Thanks very much for this, they also have the 512Mb version for £26.97:

HOWEVER, if you read the reviews about Micro Direct Ltd on Pricerunner, they don't seem to be a very good company to deal with, and have even sent out refurbished products (which is not mentioned on their website):

Has anybody here purchased from Micro Direct without any problems?

Yes - basically this is my 3rd purchase without any problems and a few friends have bought without any problems. - Nothing v. expensive though - delivery is V. fast - but as with virtually all the big/cheap e-tailers I wouldn't want to deal with their customer service if things went wrong.
There again I've had my nightmares with e-buyer and still buy from them.

Cheers for pointing out the 512mb one minera69 - I've taken the liberty of amending the thread title to suit.

Been using one of the 128mb ones for a few days and for the price there is nothing wrong with it and I haven't even checked if the firmware is up to date. Yes there are several bad reviews on Amazon.com but there are a hell of a lot of 4 and 5 star reviews - it averages 3.5 out of 5 so it can't be that bad. All the most recent reviews are reasonable, which suggest that Rio have fixed the problems.
I'd give it 3 stars just on performance but 4 if you take the price into consideration - you get what you pay for and if you want to spend twice/three/four times as much you can. Personally if it only lasts 12 months or I drop it in the sea this summer I'm not going to lose any sleep over it which is where it wins over an Ipod or most other players.
