SSI am a fee charging WoM Mortgage broker.I now no longer give information and opinion within the Mortgage boards, because a number of posters who, having approached me professionally, agreed my fee-which has been been made very clear at the outset, taken my advice (normally cancelling a [home visit] meeting at short notice) have then approached one of the fee-free brokers on here to arrange the very same deal I have advised.Whilst I totally concur with the ethos of "money saving"- abusing the goodwill of a professional who provides a quality service is taking it too far! :mad:0 -
Do the other brokers think that fantatstic web page is FSA compliant? A good site to look at mortgages is https://www.msn.co.uk, look at the left of the website and click on property, then mortgages and answer the questions and you will get a good idea of what you can have.
I had a look for you and to borrow £120,000 you can have a fixed rate with the Nationwide BS for 4.88% for ten years which i feel is very good. You always need to look at the small print and never jump in as this can cost you in the long run. Hope it helps you.

If you're consolidating your debts into the mortgage why don't you cut your mortgage term. With 40k debts you'll be paying a fair whack each month and could probably knock about 10 years off your morgage term by adding 50% of your debt repayments to the morgage payments. You'll own the house completely in less time and pay a hell of a lot less interest on the mortgage.0 -
Have I offended anyone Stan?0
