Hi,
Thanks for looking at this thread.
I am offering my services for dog walking or animal sitting during weekends.
I have just finished uni doing a Bsc in Animal Behaviour & Welfare, and now need to start to pay off my overdraft.
I am luckily enough to have a full time job, but unfortuaatly its not in the field I want. This is why I would like to walk other peoples dogs/ ferrets/ rabbits/ cats or any other animals as a hobby.
I am not with any company, but want to offer my time & passion of animals to let animal owners enjoy there weekends off and can't really afford to go to the gym, so what better way to get some exercise & I dont mind the rain (I'm used to mucking out horses & livestock in the rain from uni).
I have my own car and live in Radcliffe (next to Springwater park), so if you are intressted I can drive up to your area & walk the dogs there or take them down to Radcliffe & walk them in the park.
P.S If there are any professional Dog walker's who need a helping hand, or any advise please feel free to reply.
Many Thanks :-)

Thanks for your advice.
Also I would not put your email addy on a website that gets hundreds of thousands of visitors and spammers. Invite interested parties to contact you by PM, it's much safer.Don't lie, thieve, cheat or steal. The Government do not like the competition.

Are you charging for this? You call it a `hobby` but mention having to pay off your overdraft.
If you are charging then you are starting a business and have to inform the taxman etc. You should also have Public Liability Insurance in case a dog you are in charge of runs under a bus or worse, causes a bus to crash.
I think (hope) the CRB suggestion was meant as a joke.0 -
Hey, I have no Criminal Record, as I'm good abiding citizen :-) so was hoping people will trust me in good faith, but now realise that many people wouldn;t take me serious.
I looked into Public Liability Insurance (got a quote of £150 is this about right for £1million)
I would like to hear from dog walkers to see if this is a worth while to set up a business? And how do I go about it?
At first it was meant as a hobby, charging around £5 per dog for an hour?
If anyone else has any suggestions on how to make a little bit of extra money at weekends to pay off my student overdraft, it will be very much appreciated (would prefer an outdoor activity which involves animals)
Thanks :-)0
