Small Shoe Sizes For Women

Hi Everyone

I hope someone can help me out. My other half (Debs) needs to buy some new shoes. As is the case every time we look, she can't find anything in her size. She needs about a size 2 in ladies size. All the size 3s she's tried are too big for her.

I've found a couple of sites on the net that sells smaller sizes. However, it's not as good as trying a pair on before you buy.

I have promised her a days shopping up in London if we can find a shop that sells small sizes for women. Please help me out here. For some reason I'm getting the blame for the shops lack of thought about women with small feet! If anyone out there can give us an address of a shop in London that specialises in small shoes for women, you may be able to stop my earache, and make Debs happy (till the next shopping trip)

Cheers (hopefully)

Rex

http://www.shoeshop.org.uk/large-small-shoe-fittings/london-home-counties.html lists several shops which sell small size shoes in London.
Also the British Foot Federation at
http://www.britfoot.com/ has a search facility for hard to find footwear, and you can search for different towns.
    This page http://www.tall-small.com/TS3/CGIcontent/Southern%20England.htm
lists Barretts shops in the London area. They have a specialist small and tall department.
Like you say, there are lots on internet shopping sites. Near where we are (Lancashire) Pavers sell an excellent range of small shoe sizes, not certain whether they have London stores though.
    Good luck

    Thanks Libra

Fantastic reply. I found a perfect looking shop on your middle link 'The Little Shoe Shop'. They specialize in sizes 12.5 to size 3 for women. They are not cheap...........but what's the price of a peaceful shopping trip? Looks worth it to me!

    Cheers

Thank you all for these websites, my wife is over the moon, in her eliment now, although going to cost me a small fortune but hey.

carvella make small shoe sizes - 2's and 2 1/2's.

Selfridges, john lewis, debenhams and other such stores stock their lines.

A bit procey, but I can recommend every penny!

r.mac, you are so wise and wonderful, that post was lovely and so insightful!
I can't promise that all my replies will illicit this response :p
  • Hi yes thanks for the suggstions, John Lewis etc, but my wifes problem is not the 2 - 2.5 size but the width EEEE!!! You can get 4E's in larger sizes but not her size. Believe me we have tried every known avenue of ALL our department stores, no good :(

But she is looking at the sites suggested above and hopefully one of them will be able to help without breaking, totally my bank!! :-/

We went to The Little Shoe Shop in London today. For anyone in reach of it. They are having a sale starting next Thursday. For any lady out there that has a problem finding shoes for small feet, this place rocks! I'm sure they had shoes for Barbie in there.

They are not cheap. Most of the shoes we looked at were between £80 and £100 a pair. They had some shoes on sale at around £45 to £50. I guess this is going to be the average price for their big sale next week. The shoes did seem good quality.

They are getting their new stock in about February. You can give them a ring and sign up for their brochure. Find them here http://www.thelittleshoeshop.com/

  • Rex - unless you were extremely generous (or reckless depending on how you look at it) your lady will need more shoes at some point ;D I haven't tried these people myself, although I have size 2's as well, mainly cos of the price and the fact that you can't try them on. However, they do seem to take some trouble to ensure the best fit by showing you how to measure your feet etc. If you sign up to them, they email updated catalogues from time to time. Your wife might enjoy looking anyway, even if she's not buying. Warning - if she's like me her success in London will spur her on to greater things ;)

Don't know where in the world you are, but there are a couple of places at McArthur Glen Retail Outlet in York that do shoes for wee feet at reduced prices. There are other McArthur Glen places but I can't remember where they're located. Also, there's a shop near me called Pettits (yes) which stock some small sizes - don't know if they're nationwide though.
