I have followed the MSE advice, the tips info posted in the forums, growing my own veg, shopping around - using aldi, herons, B&M, farmfoods etc. learned to cook make own jam and bread etc. I cut my owen food shopping by £700 from £25 a week to just £8 on average a week. Massive saving.

Thats fab, what do you tend to buy on your shopping trips? Do you spend that £8 on stuff for the week and then just stock up tins etc as and when?0
