i recieved my cheque for this today sent the form in march
  • Is it just me or does anyone else think 5 months is a serious amount of time to wait??? I'm sure if the tax payer owed the taxman money they would want it in a much shorter time frame. Guess thats just life.

A colleague of mine has been doing this for years (2008-2009 will be my first) and for the first few he recieved a cheque, but 2008-9 they've put it into his tax code.
  • Due to HMRC computer systems being changed, this year, there has been a v long delay with the refund claims. The length of wait varies between offices but it is worth calling your office 6 weeks after sending your claim to check that they have in fact have received your post as unfortunatley letters do go missing.
