Don't let that bother you too much. My OH was exactly the same. My argument was my three were getting old and wanted to get "replacements" before they were too old.His biggest concern was what the neighbours might think....weirdos next door with 5 cats.MonkeyGirl wrote:I can't really have two its been hard enough trying to persaude the OH to let me have one so don't want to push it and now OH has come round to the idea of a cat he wants a kitten too.
Take him with you to see the kittens. He'll fall in love with them. It may be double the money but not double the hassle. If he's agreed to one then two shouldn't be a problem for him.
My OH was like the three mogs: pretended he didn't want to know ,took a while to get used to the bundles but now adores them. Good luck and enjoy.0 -
I got 2 kittens a male and female, both had very different taste in foods, male would only eat the dried food, i got him iams as it was recomended to me but sadly he suffered with a urinary tract blockage as a result of the dried food, luckily i had him insured through pet plan so his 2 weeks in hospital and all his treatment were covered, as is his special food he now requires for the rest of his life, hes more of an indoor cat and will only go out into the garden every now and again
Our female cat however loves her wet food, she will eat anything...lol shes an outdoor cat, and i got her neutered with a voucher from the RSPCA that i took 2 my vets, im not on benefits this offer was open to any 1 ...but maybe just in my area! shes an outdoor cat infact shes hardly everin and both are very affectionate.
Id really consider the insurance, i was lucky to have taken mine out only 3 weeks before (gravy) became ill, his total bill was just under £1000 andits saved me a heck of a lot.£2 coin savers club = £118
20p saver club = £275.80 :T yippeeeee0 -
Hiya,
We got a gorgeous wee rescue kitten from the SSPCA, and they neutered her free as part of the fee we paid for her(£45)...she is amazing...like a wee dog lol...she is an indoor cat, as we live in apartments, and she wouldnt be able to reach the secure entry buzzer haha...we did consider sending her out with a wee key fob on her collar-only joking!
We had a small delay in getting her as she had infected ears, and they wanted to clear it up...shes fine and healthy. We have insurance for her and its superb cover and under a fiver a month.
Good luck with your kitten hunting!

I have had 2 sets of brother and sister cats over the years. I have had the same problem with both -the male cat pees in the house, despite being neutered. My vet has suggested it it is to do with insecurity or him showing that he is dominant. Have tried feliway but it is expensive and he still did it. I love the current ones to bits but the OH is getting very annoyed! Don't think I would have another male cat because of this problem.0
