1/4 of the way through

as the title says we are a quarter of the way through our BR already.

It has gone quite quickly and I would like to say it has been wasy but with everything else that is going on, it hasn't been really. I won't go into details on here as to why which I am sure you will understand.

I sometimes feel sad about losing the house but at the end of the day we still have what is most important in life and that is each other and our gorgeous babies.

I am very obsessed with my spreadsheet where I budget for everything!! It's a great way to plan and keep track of how much money we have for bills etc.

Been an expensive week this week as the car needed taxed and it failed the MOT and BT decided to double my direct debit payments plus my eldest needs new shoes which aren't cheap!!

Sorry I don't post much anymore, I lurk a lot but sometimes feel like I don't have anything helpful to say so tend to sit on the sidelines. I will try harder in future!!

    Hi PP

Only since my grandaughter has been bon have i found out what PP means:olol.
Yes can totally empathise with "life after bc",makes me wonder how i ever managed to carry the debt around for so long, as in many ways we are worse off financially now ...if that makes sense. I suppose it comes down to less debt and less disposable income. Ahh well a lot to be said for being debt free these days:D.

Glad things are going OKish for you and never applogise for not posting much on here,we have all done that at some point and like phil(the wise one) says one day......

We are just over a quarter of the way into our BR and i must say i dont regret it one bit.

Yes we too have lost our home, but to be fair it was that home that was a very large contributing factor towards the debts that we accumulated.

The house that we live in now is great, it costs us £100 per month more than our mortgage cost us, but we have gained 2 bedrooms and a dining room, so a worthy trade off i feel.

I have definately embraced our new found financial freedom in a more posotive way than my wife, i spend so little money now that its scary, i never use my card for purchases anymore, i now draw the cash out and pay with that.

The wife doesnt seem to appreciate the lifeline that we have been thrown and it frustrates the hell out of me, i have tried explaining to her that although we dont have a lot of money left over in the bank after the bills have been paid what is there is ours and not the credit card companies.

We are actually arguing more about money now than we did before, i am constantly looking at ways not to spend what little we have, the wife is constantly looking for ways to spend it!

Its actually getting to the point where i am seriously considering cutting up her cash card and just having the one and then drawing her a weekly budget out of the bank, its something i never ever wanted to do, but i think it may be the only way that she will learn from the error of our ways.

    Anyone experienced something similar?
:grouphug: hehe it always makes me chuckle
