blimey jacs that is a long wait. Did they give you any time scale when you'd start or is it just 'whenever'.

I have emailed, I have called, we have had a high number of applicants, we haven't had time to short list yet blah blah blah.
It was for the Nurse bank, I wanted to get on the bank and hopefully get a zero hours contract on a particular ward.

  • Morning guys,
Sun's kind of out so I'm going for a walk - anyone know how far 10000 steps is?
Yesterday had a lovely afternoon catch-up with people from work that I hadn't seen for ages - one of those where two hours stretched to 5. It's good to talk :D
Other than that I'm open to suggestions :p
Sally well done on the loss of poundage :T
Good luck with the jobhunts - feeling 'stuck' somewhere really is the sh**s!
BB - when do you hear about the other bit of your jobhunt masterplan?

Depends how long your stride is....

But as a rule of thumb ...

The average person's stride length is approximately 2.5 feet long. That means it takes just over 2,000 steps to walk one mile, and 10,000 steps is close to 5 miles.

10,000 steps is approx 10k or 6 miles.
    (for me at least)

Luc-I think if hair isn't 100% with colour and cut, tie it back in a nice neat ponytail and foundation, lipstick/gloss, blush and mascara.
Nice new jeans, wedges? You will be gorgeous!!

  • i know my first job is to 'programme' the pedometer I got a couple of years ago. Nice piece of kit :rotfl:

But is there like a well known rough equivalent? Somewhere between John Cleese in Fawlty towers and Julie walters doing her old lady waitress act?
