quickiest route to bankrupt

can anyone help,is it any quicker going to london high court to speed up bankruptcy as im havin my family hassled about my whereabouts due to my procrastinating,have saved the money but need to do this as fast as possible as debt collecters are going to my mums and i dont live there,can they do that?please help i dont sleep anymore and its affecting my life!:confused:

    I think you can only petition for BR at your local court, or the court local to where you have lived for the majority of the last 6 months. Your best bet is to ring your local court and see what their procedure is. Some have an appointment system and others you just turn up on the day.

    As for the debt collectors hassling your mum, she can either ignore them or tell them she doesn't know where you are. They must have had you living at her address at some point. Another thing you can do is write to these debt collectors and tell them you will only communicate in writing from now on and that you are seeking financial advice from the CAB. I'm sure someone else will be on later with a template letter for this.

    Also, before going to court you must get professional advice from one of the charities listed in the sticky at the top of the forum as the judge can decline BR if they feel you haven't received adequate advice and understand the BR implications.
