Hi guy's

I need some advice.

I have been served with a bankruptcy order for one debt. Once this order goes through and I am made bankrupt does this mean I can tell other creditors I am a bankrupt person or do they carry on as normal?

Hi Bekki

Once you are bankrupt...either by petitioning yourself or a 3rd party, then all other debt falls into it.

Be careful as BR by a creditor is often threatened but rarely followed through. ( except HMRC & occasionally Amex)

thanks for that.

I used to have a shop that I leased, due to my mum being very ill and me living over 100 miles away i shut my shop and moved back to my home town. I then found out I had no get out clause in my lease. Which runs until September 2015. I have a date for Bankruptcy court, papers served to me this morning. i am sure this will go through.
I do want it to go through otherwise it will all happen again in a few years. It sorts it out now!
