Making/buying a liner for a wicker laundry basket

The basket lining is now up and running.
I miscalculated slightly and only had enough material to allow for a 5-6 cm hem around the basket, which is currently secured with a very MSE piece of ribbon found in a drawer.
In the end as large an overlap as was suggested by Maman wasn't needed as by some freak reason the lining fits almost perfectly. I say this as I did draw out templates beforehand, but didn't actually measure the basket
Took an awful lot longer than I'd expected (about 3 hours of sewing by hand), but I achieved my aim of not throwing out a personally good basket.
Thanks again for all the tips.0 -

Well done Edinburgher! What's your next project?0 -
Well, I've hung the last of the pictures, so I think I'm on DIY hiatus for the moment. Back to my kitchen - I'm more of a cook than a handyman!0
