Hi
I know someone that was after a satnav, but not sure if this is any good? Is there some site that reviews them>? Are they pretty much all the same or does the quality/features vary quite a bit.
Pricewise it seems good i think, but is it a good buy?

I must admit I've never considered buying a SatNav; just not my thing. I never ask for directions either
However, it seemed like a cracking deal so thought it may be useful to some. Can I help?0 -
I bought one of these for £244 in January. It is a good pocket computer for using Outlook, word etc but the SatNav involves lots of wires & therefore isn't very portable or user friendly. [I sent it back because of that.]
This certainely is very good value for the price though - £244 was the cheapest I found it after a couple hours of searching!0 -

Older versions, unless I'm mistaken, had a seperate GPS receiver that had to be plugged into the PDA via a cable.
But you are right that the main unit is actually a PDA and does not have a built in aerial like, say, a Navman, Tom-Tom or Acer.
Still seems a good price though.

Yes mine had the built in speaker & the GPS receiver connects to the mount. I just found it a hassle connecting everything up for my journeys, I travel frequently & didn't want to leave it on display for security purposes.
If you wanted the SatNav for occasional use it is a bargain!0 -
...and these will be straight on eBay no doubt!
Interesting combination of a slow 203mhz Pocket PC and a fast SiRFtrac III gps receiver!!! Very odd.
Just under £300 in most places.
Misco have a Paypal payment option, which means you might be able to get a further discount if you can find a Paypal code which works!!British Ex-pat in British Columbia!0 -

I think Misco have pulled it, you now can't see the price on the site.0
