Anyone suffering after Discectomy?

Hi, Just wondered if anyone else has encountered the same problems as me. I had back surgery for a proplapsed disc just over 8 weeks ago. I have still a lot of numbness and tingling in my leg and foot and I know this can take up to 2 years to go (having read Dr posts on the net) if it goes at all depending on the nerve damage. What I wondered is if anyone has had the surgery and also feels weaker in the leg - I'm sure weaker than my leg was before the op. I dont have pain as such, just the numbness and tingling and weakness. The wound got infected 3 weeks post - op and therefore I wasnt able to start physio as planned and will be going for my first physio next week. I guess this may help? I'm not sitting around doing nothing tho - I've been back at work 2 weeks (all be it an office job), I do housework and I walk the dogs most days so surly the stength should be coming back?

Any similar stories, advice, tips would be much appreciated as truthfully, I am a little worried.

Thankx.
