Hi there
What loaf are you trying to make? I don't think the crust colour option is available on all settings. I usually make a basic loaf and can choose crust on that.

Hi! Petal's right - not every combination of options is available for every setting. I'm sure it'll be delicious anyway:)[0

On mine the crust colour setting works for white bread (4 hours) but not on the wholemeal settings (5 hours)My first reply was witty and intellectual but I lost it so you got this one instead

hi.making a rapid wholemeal.it's due out @ 7.30.not sure wot it'll be like cos i was tired when i started playing with it and i got confused with all the diff 50%/100%/70%.so i was reading it wrong.i no how awkward wholemeal is 2 get right neway and me being tired won't have helped!!!!!!!!!!!!! so then i came in here and was checking out recipes.last BW was a cookworks ( a pressie) and that was useless).borrowed a morphy richards off my sis 4 most of last yr and that wasn't 2 bad.after having trawled thru threads here i'm still no nearer 2 getting a wholemeal recipe.don't eat white bread and i've usually gone 50/50 with the brown and white.0

Can guarantee the rapid brown/wholemeal loaf will work at treat..sometimes I just bung in pumpkin and sunflower seeds (even though the you're supposed to put in dispenser and for a longer recipe/ programme). Comes out lovely every time. I never bother with the 50%, 70% thing. I just do 100% wholemeal or brown
Just made a honey and sunflower loaf this afternoon and currently waiting for the machine to pop out my first white loaf. i don't normally eat white bread but I always think it makes better French Toast.

got another question and i can't find the answer in the panasonic book or the mega index.the 100% wholemeal tastes lovely BUT the crust is always 2 hard.how can i solve the problem?0

I always opt for the "light" crust then it is not too tough. I never make wholemeal loaves - just white and a mix on both the 4 hour setting and the rapid bake.0

i thought those 3 options were 4 the COLOR of the crust! i've bin going 4 medium.0
