nil tax code

I know i should have sorted this out before now.
I went onto nil tax code which was meant to last up until march this year, the money was going to moonbeaver instead. Every month i paid them my monthly payment along with the money that would have normally been my tax. The OR said that after the end of the tax year i would go back to paying moonbeaver the agreed amount but no longer give them my tax which i have been doing but i am still on nil tax code and am getting this in my pay. Who is it down to sort this out. Is it up to whoever put me onto nil tax code to take me off. Although i am enjoying the extra money (which i shouldn't be) in my payslip, i know it is wrong and that it is going to come back on me so i need to know where i stand before i end up owing loads of tax, please help.

hi just to echo what fatou says, payment of tax is your responsibility and you should get in touch with HMRC quickly
