tax credits due in around court day

Please help me. I'm in utter caos here, shaking as I type. My partner and I have our court date for bankruptcy which is Monday.

I have had a letter from Mortgage company that mortgage payment has bounced, but only by £25 so that's ok.

My worry is that our tax credits which we really need to live on is due around the court date. If those tax credits go in we have nothing to get by till child benefit around 19th of the month.

Is there anything I can open to get those payments safely while were between bank acounts?

Any help and advice would be greatly received, I'm so worried about our families future. I can't believe this is happening to us

First take a deep breath and let it out! Next get the number for the Tax credit helpline and telephone them now - they "might" be able to stop the payment and send you a cheque,if not they may be able to defer payment until you contact the Co-op or Barclays to open a new account. I'm sure someone else will be along soon with other answers so just hang on in there!

Thank you so much! I have just called tax credits, the payment is actually due in bank account tomorrow. What a relief!

I'm new and just starting this process, think I may be on here quite regularly.

    Thanks again for your help

Your welcome - I would get on and organise a br friendly bank ac now - you can ring the Co-op and sort a cashminder ac over the phone (as long as they are not one of your creditors!). Check out the stickies at the top of this forum for advice on this.

Things will get better and theirs always someone around on this forum to help you!
