The Diary Of Crossed Fingers And Breath Holding

Options
Had an appointment for 10am for a lady to ring me back to finalise my DRO application, fee all paid - just fingers crossed now. The lady rang and said she was filling in the forms and things so it would be nearer half past.

The thing is, my landline is starting to play up (well - starting = has been all morning which is typical - waiting for the most important call of the year...!) and so afterwards I need to try and ring BT to find out what's going on. If you unplug it it'll give the dialing tone but if you hang up and then pick up again it's just dead or the '"please hang up and try again...." lady so I rang and gave a mobile number for them to use - thank god we tried it before the call was meant to come through...!

Sorry for rambling, it's just a very nerve wracking 15 minutes left that feels like it's been hours already!

Apparently it takes 48 hours so it could be sort of Friday/Monday time I find out. Please work! Please please please please please work!

Also... Hello! :) :j

  • Cooor that was scary! Should know by Saturday through the post - though it might stretch to Monday. She can't see a problem with it, but obviously companies can object and make things difficult or they can see another issue with it.

A bit of background whilst I enjoy my (very early) Mint Chocolate Baileys as a reward (next reward is a cheese toastie in a few minutes :rotfl: )

I'm 24, had to withdraw from my degree under order of hospital!doctor (ie - if you carry on you will be dead by 30) so obviously I left and now I'm at home waiting to get better which is more boring than you'd think - especially during the summer holidays with no daytime TV! :rotfl:

With no form of student loan and grant and no chance of getting a job (I'd been looking for childcare jobs to replace my childcare placement so I could get paid for it) I had just incapacity benefit coming in and no real chance of paying my nearing £11,000 debt and with mounting calls I rang the CCCS (in May, eek!) and have been going through the process for a debt relief order ever since with it finally being submitted today.

If anyone has any questions about them I'd be happy to try and answer them if I can but you really must bear in mind that I have a short term memory that has been classed as "in the lowest two percent."

.... In the lowest 2% of what you might ask.... I'm not sure.

I know she told me but I've forgotten :o

Bloody hounded by calls, I don't mind answering them but they don't take the hint and ring straight back.

    Especially bloody Mercers!

Even asking them not to for the state of my health gets nowhere - it's time to stop being soft and act on that 'Er, this is harassment, twatbags!' rule I've been backing from, especially now it could all be over in less than a week!
