Was in Wickes ( Huddersfield ) today and got a 12000BTU Split Air conditioning Unit at £49 a unit ( Sign says £150 off each). These originally sold at £399 and had been reduced to £349 in their latest catalogue, so a steal at £98 for a combined heating/ cooling unit with remote control. Thanks to our miserable Summer :D Maybe B&Q will follow suit.

One part is an inside wall unit and other is an outside unit like commercial aircons, joined by pipes that go through the wall

2 lots left. Possibly instore only?

Also had single portable units, but not priced , should be similarly reduced.

Edit found these on website at £99, were £229, but no stock online,

B&Q's customer service is a joke!

We purchased a split unit during their last sale, and was sent only the outside unit! What can we do without the inside unit! It was like ordering a pair of shoes but got delivered only the left shoe!

No one from B&Q contacted us about the missing unit. We tried several phone numbers but to be told 'you need to call another number, blah blah blah.....'

Finally we got through them and was informed that the inside unit was out of stock and discontinued, we need to go to the shops ourselves to find if they have any stock.

I have to make an official complaint. How can they send one left shoe out?

There are two types it seems, one older, slightly more powerfull and heavier, and a smaller one with the same 12,00BTU rating ( which I got cos it is in their latest catalogue reduced from £399 to £349).

Newer SKU from receipt is 156 297(interior unit) and 156298 for exterior unit.

Edit found the older? unit SKU it is 156435/156416

It's a bit much to put me into the same category LOL!

You paid for a pair of shoes but you only received one left shoe. No one contacted you about this before and after.

I'd feel disappointed if B&Q told me the item was out of stock but I can deal with that.

But to receive only half of the product, it is much more annoying. We have to make arrangement to wait at home for the delivery, then have to make numerous phone calls to them to see where's the other half's gone. The item is out of stock and is discontinued. Now we have to make another arrangement for them to pick up the item to get a refund.

All this is not only nuisance to us, but B&Q as well.

They should not have sent it out at all.
