bit off topic, but my own takeaway at home verion of chinese is sweet and sour chicken with noodles. pack of bog standard egg noodles, steam some chicken or turkey depending on what im in the mood for and a jar of sharwoods stir fry sweet and sour sauce zapped in the mircowave for around 40 seconds. much quicker and tastier and no where near as greasy as sweet and sour chicken in batter from the chinese.
woudl love to know where to buy huge vats of garlic butter for making garlic bread they like do at dominos as i love it.Debt free 3 years early :j
Savings for house deposit - very healthy
Cash back earnt so far £14.570 -
I bought some Tiramisu today in Morrison's which I thought was very good. It was light and moist with authentic flavour. Cost about £2.00 and enough for 4 I would think.0

There's a blue bottle of sauce, the fat, sitting on it's lid type, made by, I think Hellmans, that you'll find with the ketchup, mayo, burger relishes etc, which tastes very very much like the sauce in a Big Mac, if you like that sort of thing. If you find it, the sauce looks the same colour. Sorry, it was ages ago since I paid attention to it and can't remember the name.
If you're a fan of prawn crackers, you can buy a box of them, about the size of a box of chocolates, from your local Asian supermarket for the same price as a couple of portions in a takeaway. They're little flakes, and this box will last you AGES. Deep fat fryer required.
A really obvious one might be the Pizza Express pizzas you can get in the supermarket - far cheaper than going to a restaurant and being tempted, and how hard is it to cook a pizza?!
I'm sure there are loads more that I can't think of. Great idea OP!0
