Can I reclaim "Letter Fees" on a Personal Loan
Hi,
I have a loan with Capital Bank (Bank of Scotland) which I took out with a Mazda dealer when I got a new car. Lately, I've had trouble paying my monthly payments.
However, I've discovered that the Bank has been charging me for letters telling me my payments were overdue. These charges range from £25 - £150 per letter.
There's no way that it costs them £150 to write a letter so I wondered if these costs can be reclaimed in any way. I've looked at all of Martin's articles and couldn't find anything about personal loans.
I hope someone can help.
David
