Would anyone know as a self employed contractor with less than 3 years worh of audited accounts, if it is possible to get a full status mortgage rather than going the self-cert route??

Thanks in advance

There may well be a few options you could look at before going down the self cert route.

It really does depend on your scenario, and what income you can actually verify

if you are an IT contractor I recommend http://www.contractormoney.com/ They sorted out a mortgage for me in Jan this year with hight street rates and only needed my hourly rate and six months of bank statements.

All the work was done via email and they were very quick and efficient
  • My boyfriend has only been self-employed for 6 months and (to our surprise) the Halifax are offering us a regular 2 year fixed at 4.49%. Apparently they're fast-tracking us because we've got such a huge deposit and good credit ratings, so don't want to see wage-slips or books.

Not sure if that would be much help in your case (don't know what your credit rating is like or how much you're able to put down as deposit) but just thought I'd post to say that we're seemingly able to get a full status mortgage :)
