Car Boots??

Hi
Anyone got experience of doing a car boot? I'm thinking doing one next weekend and just dont know where to start. I've found out what are supposidly the best attended ones in the area and know which one I think I will go to, in South Wales.
However, havent got a clue how to price things up or what to price thinks at. Got lots of clothes - some only worn a few times, tops & jeans and dresses. Shoes and boots collected over time and not been worn much. Jigsaw puzzles and board games still in cellephone and some not. Used chrome light fittings, general bric a brac....loads novels and some vinyl. Any tips, clues!!

I've only ever done one, but made a healthy profit. Beware of traders wanting to buy your stuff while you're unloading. Nothing worse than seeing your items for sale on a different table for twice the price! Have fun.0

Wear a money belt & have lots of change. Also take anything that you want to get rid of - it's amazing what people will buy. My friend sold open and partially used bottles of cheap nail varnish for 50p each! Have a minimum price per item in your head and be prepared to haggle.0 -

That is so true. I sold my newspaper for 50p when I'd finished reading it last time I did a car boot. :rotfl:Happy New Year :beer:0 -
I sold a toilet seat that I couldn't give away on freecycle for £5!!
But definitely take lots of change with you!!
I don't price my stuff before I go - people ask how much it is, and i decide what I think they will pay for it...!!!
It depends on whether you want to make a fortune or you want to get rid of junk and have a bit extra cash.....
Personally, I just want rid with the extra cash option....so my stuff is fairly cheap - unless it is something amazing!
Books 20p/50p
Clothes (adult) £1
Clothes (kids) 20p/50p
Housewares 50p
Jewellery £1
But I can vouch for taking anything along to the car boot - people really do buy ANYTHING!!!!Why does nobody say Thank You anymore??:mad:Debt Free as of September 2011 :jSealed Pot 2009 number 334 - £100 Saved! yey!!Sealed Pot 2010 number 334 - £116.51 Saved! Yey!! YIPPEE!!0
