Company Pension -not that I don't trust them....

Good day,
I was with the same business from September 76 to December 95. The Company had a pension scheme which I was elligible for after 12 months.
The business was purchased by a "blue chip" multi in 85, and they bought me in to their "Executive" pension retrospectively to the start of the original pension.
The Company was sold again in 94, and in November 95, I moved out of the "blue chip's" pension, into a new fund. In December 95, I was fired.
The pension management Company was bought by Abbey sometime after I left, and has apparently changed again.
I realise that I can contact them to find out what they have for me, but with all the changes and movements, is there a way of achieving an "audit trail" to confirm that the movements/transfers were correct?
Thanks in advance for any advice - Kevin

Did they not write to you or confirm the changes each time? A copy of those letters/notices would be sufficient.
Otherwise, write to them now and ask for a statement of your current entitlement and keep that as future evidence.
