Hi Sharon and welcome to MSE
Whilst you have a bad credit rating you would be best to use a basic account - these don't have an overdraft so no credit score is required - here is a list of basic bank accounts - http://www.moneymadeclear.fsa.gov.uk/pdfs/bank_accounts.pdf
Have you got a recently looked at your credit report?
Do you have a plan in place to deal with your debts going forward - are you able to keep on top of your repayments currently/A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -
well that maybe a good place to start - then if you want to post it on here - people can help you start to save, shave and pay off and possibly quicker than may realise. Its a big step but its worth it for you to fully understand your situation and to start taking back control. Go on - you can do it! http://www.makesenseofcards.com/soacalc.html
Get all your paperwork, letters & statements together, a cup of tea and maybe some chocolate or biscuits on hand and work through it.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -
