well that was a waste of £6.99

ive one NEW default listed, more than before!

    the good news...
A defaulted account is removed from your report after six years whether or not you have paid the debt in full. If you have paid some of the debt off, the balance should show how much you still owe.

    the bad news (from O2)
    Good Afternoon Mr *****,

On the evidence provided, O2 are not disputing you were declared Bankrupt. However, if we were not listed as a creditor, O2 cannot write off the debt on the account at the time of Bankruptcy, and this remains payable regardless. The fact we were unaware of the situation at the time suggests we were not included, therefore, we would not be able to show the debt as satisfied through the Bankruptcy. This is in line with the rules and guidelines laid out by the Information Commissioner. Unfortunately, if a debt is not included, it is not covered by the proceedings and remains a liable debt. Based on this, O2 can only show the debt as satisfied once it is paid.

I’m sorry that this is not the outcome you expected, but represents O2’s final position on the matter.

    Kind Regards

    Mike Welsh

I thought that even if you didn't include a creditor in your BR, if you owed them money up til the date of BR that it went in anyway?
Look down your nose at me and I thumb my nose back at you. :p

Wouldn't the OR's office be interested in that? ;)

Oh, and at least you can get your credit file - the agencies won't believe my OH is who he says he is at this address (apparently someone claiming to be him has already applied and received a copy online!), so want lots of proof he is him. Unfortunately he doesn't physically own the id they want and they won't change their minds, so he can't find out about his rating until we move and/or he gets a driving license/passport or any of the bills they want that we don't get.....sigh:rolleyes:
Do not feed the trolls please.

Have you reported it to the ICO yet?, if not that is your next and last option, as they have given a final responce, but dont expect that to be quick/easy either:rolleyes:
