I had the 10 point click through, and I made the donation to breast cancer.

It's 200 piggypoints, and IMHO points well spent.

I've just had a look back, can't find the 10 point clickthru' in my point history, first i'd heard of/noticed it was through the pigsback e-mail yesterday myself.

What?!! are you talking to me?

Talking down? Preaching? - Sorry if you thought I was talking that way - it was in no way intentional.

    B) Think yourself fortunate you only "nearly" lost you relative! A lot of us are less fortunate!

I'm sorry for your loss but please don't degrade the suffering of the friends and family of survivors. We certainly don't think of ourselves as 'fortunate' when one of our brood manages to scrape through after years of cancer. My sister was diagnosed as terminal and two years on she's in remission. Though of course I'm glad she made it she's a shadow of her former self and her kids will never be the same.

It's great you raised money for charity. It's something all members of my family do, and it's a great idea to donate. I have 1500 points - 500 of which are going to charity. Hopefully I can do one a month, it's not a big gesture but it counts.

Well if you look at back at your post it reads as that you are being critical of my collecting the piggy points when I have already donated more than that by sponsoring JJ privately.......

I guess I look at the word "fortunate" differently.......no offence meant

Ok, difference of opinions here but I think it is a very difficult subject and i'm sure no offence was meant and i'm sure itsbeef didn't mean to sound quite so harsh.
And Zounds, if they give us 10 pp for clicking on it it isn't our fault, but if then just a handful of people donate because of it (it is intended to raise awareness afterall) then all to the good.
    Have a nice weekend people.

ok sure, I think if I was having a little unintentional dig it probably was at pigsback for offering people 10p for donating £2 to charity, when that could have gone to charity itself, as you say tho' - if it raises awareness.

Sorry if anyone took what I said the wrong way.

    Apologies too mate........

Guess just a little sensitive over it at the moment.

And you have a good point about the points situ.....maybe Pigsback should make it a click thro that automatically goes to charity rather than it being optional? A one off shouldnt be an issue with members??
