OR interview over!

I had my interview with the OR earlier and now it is over I feel so relieved.

Just thought I would share some of it in case it helps others.

I am currently bank with Think Banking for which I pay every month. Despite all my continuous efforts none of the other banks will accept me, (I have not been able to get to the bottom of the problem and opted for Think Banking because I need somewhere for my salary to be paid into). Anyway on explaining this to the OR he stated that they did not have a problem with me paying for a bank account as this was my only option at present.

I currently have a Virgin package which covers tv, phone & broadband and this did not cause a problem either (although I am changing to Sky soon as their deal is cheaper). I suspected that having broadband would be classed as a non-essential but it wasn’t.

The main reason behind my BR is a split with an ex who had run up lots of debts in my name, this of course has been stressful financially for me and brought a lot of heartache. In some instances I was a bit hazy on timescales and the OR seemed to accept that this was normal.

The OR ended the call by stating that I probably would not need another interview and that there would be a possibility of an Early Discharge – this was the best part for me and I felt a huge weight being lifted from my shoulders…

    Hi pleasegivekarenadvice,,,

I'm not too sure about an IPO or IPA as my income is low it didn't apply to me..

The questions I got asked were to do with each property that I owned, when I bought it and who did I live with at the time. Also the OR went through each debt individually and asked again when I took out the debt and what the money was spent on..

He also wanted to know at what point and why I decided that BR was the route for me and also from where I had received advice.

Finally we talked about my current employment and how much I was earning at the moment, my income (or lack of it) has been erratic over the last year but I have just been lucky enough to become employed full time.

Bear in mind that prior to the interview I was requested to send to the OR the last 12 months worth of bank statements, credit card statements, payslips and loan agreements - so he would have already had this information to hand...

hope this helps and good luck..

    Hi longshot,

In the letter I recieved it just said the last 12 months - I went BR in July so I sent statements from July 2008 - 2009.

I did have some missing statements which I couldn't find and just stated this on a note attached to them. I'm sure the OR will just request them from the various banks...

The whole telephone interview was not as awful as I thought it would be, I just answered the questions as best I could and when I couldn't remember the details I stated so...

    good luck
