Dawnteabag - brilliant cards - my favourites are the ones you made with the cogsmo papers - I love those papers!!!!

Aw thanks Mel - I love them too - and my boy knows it - I hope he appreciates the sacrifice!

btw I got a special offer in my crafts beautiful this month subscription this month to claim a free copy of 'lets make cards' It says its only available to crafts beautiful subscribers but they never asked for any ref number so it might be worth a try.
    Ring 0845 357 7009
When I rang - they offered me 1 free copy then 3 months for £9.99 which seemed reasonable to be given the RRP is £7.99. I've ordered them as an extra bday pressie for my boy he always lingers by them in the supermarket but knows I'd never pay that much for a mag!

Melissa, thank you so much for your comments about my site, I've gone out on a bit of a limb confidence wise by setting up a site when I haven't done anything 'crafty' since I was at school.

Bought some beautiful 'angel' papers from a local craft shop today.

Here is my stitched card for the challenge - I think it's more like a notelet because it's quite plain. It's my first attempt and too late I realised the needle I was using was like a poker! I used a ?papermania? template & my own embroidery thread but it was calming to do so I hope to do some more soon using plans sent to me by flourgirl. THANK YOU!
th_AugustcardsATCs001.jpgThis is a card I made for my brother & SIL's wedding anniversary (the one where I managed to put the last layer on upside down) so I cut the front off the card & stuck it on another blank. It was a bit thick (like me) but better than no card at all I thought.

I've read all your posts & checked out blogs but I'm sorry it's too late to comment I'll try tomorrow......
