Mammoth blog posts posted here - scrapbook LO, card, notebook, coaster calendar, kitchen sink.
I can't remember when or where but I'm sure I promised that I's post a pic of a cuttlebug lace tree coloured over with a metallic promarker. It's a rubbish pic but here it is

Sally - sorry you didn't take as much as you thought - 35 quid is great though - and such a good cause. Your stall looks fantastic!

Bunbun - fabulous selection of cards - I love the manga girls ones - and that hedgehog is so cute!

Kim-Possible - your "alternative" advent calendar is fabulous - such a great idea - it must have taken you ages!

Rainmac - sounds like you had a fabulous birthday!!!!

CT19720 - great cards - I love how you've used the scalloped circles on your gorjuss girl one, and the paper looks fab on the santa one.

Dragonflew - lovely cards - your penguin ones are really cute - and your bauble cards are so striking.

Whoopidoo - your angels are fab - they'll look great on your tree!

Rrusty - congrats on your win! I love your "elf bed" and notebook - really pretty papers.

Myzdamena - fab creations - love your calendars! Your "m" and "c" are fab - very patchworky!!! Your kids' cards are great too - it must be so much fun crafting with them!!!!

Dawnteabag - your son looks like such an angel - what a lovely hat!!!! Your layout is fabulous - I love the bright colours, and I love the colours on your coaster calendar!!!

Phew - I've finally caught up - I'm really struggling at the minute trying to keep up with the posts on here!!! I don't know why - its not like I'm doing housework instead - it really needs a good clean, but by the time Elliot finally settles down for the night I'm exhausted!

well done on catching up Mel - I think you fo an amzing job to find time to come on here at all. I don't remember doing anything when my son was that little. You're right - he does LOOK like an angel. but looks can be deceiving

    How's Elliot coming along?

  • Whoop whoop - my sizzix alphabets have been delivered this morning:j.

I hate OH being at home coz he keeps asking what I've been buying now - told him it was another xmas present for me - not sure he heard the "for me" bit though :rotfl::rotfl:.

Have written myself a to do list now so feeling more in control - should have spent the time writing the list doing some of the things off it I suppose :p

  • Good morning ladies - and a big hello to all newbies. :hello::hello:

It took me hours last night to catch up with this thread, but I have now read everything!
craftygranny - well done on the sale, and I'm glad to hear the girls came through their ops safely.
mary-op - I wore my knickers inside out travelling to Vegas; DD came into the bedroom while I was getting dressed on the morning we left and asked me if I knew my knickers were inside out, she thought I was mad when I told her I'd done it deliberately! Lol :p

Vegas was AMAZING! We packed so much into our stay, but unfortunately DD got ill the day before we left. She wouldn't see a nurse in case they told her she couldn't fly, but she was in so much pain. She saw a doctor on Friday and was diagnosed with tonsilitis, which she's had before but never this bad. Her lips were swollen and covered in cold sores as well. :( She's just finished a double-dose course of penicillin, and managed to eat some (soft) solid food for the first time yesterday.
It's been hectic since we got home Thursday night,I had to leave DD and the dogs with my parents until Saturday. Best friend came round for a bottle of wine Thursday night, then had graduation Friday morning. Friday afternoon I slept for a couple of hours, then went to visit sis who'd had a big fallout with her BF. I was supposed to be going out with uni mates, but ended up staying all night with sis as she was so upset. Saturday night I visited my friend to celebrate my birthday, then slept all day Sunday. :o Monday night I went out with a few uni mates to celebrate my birthday properly. ;)
Today I'm going to see someone at the university about getting registered as an hourly-paid lecturer and to see what hours they can offer me. It'll only be a couple of hours a week, but hopefully will be starting next week. :D It's back in the computer department where I did my first degree.

Phew, sorry about the long post! Hope everyone has a great day. :)
some people grin and bear it, others smile and do it :)
  • Welcome back JHB glad you had a fantastic time . Hope DD gets better quickly can be really nasty and good luck with the lecturing would scare me stupid I can't even train anyone on a 1 to 1 basis :o
