Sal sorry to hear your craft fair didn't do as well as you hoped for.

Fabulous cards being made by everyone. Well Done to you all xx

I have been writing my Christmas cards today and making some wallets for money and a few tags with the label nesties for my DIL's bags of cookies. I think I am just about getting the hang of the ATG gun, it so much quicker than DST, I think it will be my new best friend :) (how sad am I :).... not don't answer that one!

Rusty we have just had a gorgeous chicken dinner and a piece of that chocolate cake would go down a treat, it looks divine.

That'll make two of us then . I can't put mine down either i am looking out for things to stick. Makes a great job on ribbons on the towel cakes.

Marg you really really need one they are fab. Big but not at all heavy.

Hello everyone :hello:, well I've had a great weekend and wish it would continue but I am now facing - packed lunches to make for tomorrow, uniform to be ironed so I guess my weekend of fun has now ended  ;)

Mary - please make sure you take lots of care of yourself and Mr Mary xxx

Glittermum - huge well done on your fair total - £100, fantastic :T

Gemm, hope your finger is feeling better - ooouuuccchhh

Sal, sorry about your fair, sounds like the weather put people off xxx

A huge thank you to all of you who sent me messages, cards or pressies. I am overwhelmed at your generosity and will be posting pics on my blog later. Thank you, thank you, thank you lovely ladies :A xxx

London was fab yesterday :D. The boys loved seeing Father Christmas in Harrods and so did we as it was free (did buy a set of 4 photos for £12 though ;)). We had ice creams in Harrods, well takeaway as that was MUCH cheaper ;) Also bought cakes from the Hummingbird Bakery and they were gorgeous. We spent loads of time (and money ) at Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park. It felt so Christmassy, it was lovely. The boys loved it and had candy floss for the first time. We've had a really easy day today as everyone was pretty tired. Been out and bought some steak for dinner and then set about helping DS1 with his homework project whilst watching some rubbish kiddie film on telly. OH made dinner - steak and chunky chips with peppercorn sauce. It was lush  Anyway, need to get on with the ironing and lunch making now :(

Never seen them before but they are cool. Could you not use 2 of the ones that hold 3 . Sorry not very helpful am i .

Thanks Craftygranny - unfortunately buying 2 wouldn't work for who I am thinking of getting one for. I've seen them with 6 at Alton Towers and Warwick Castle, but these are now shut until next year, and haven't spotted any local to me yet, but I am now on a mission to find one!
2016 is the year I am going to find time for me, and cherish the time I spend with my friends and family.
It is also time to save - Aim £4,000 - So far this year - £230/£4,000

Great cards sunrise, love the santa hat one.

Thanks for the link Louise on the fireplaces, I’ll have a look into that one, and thanks to you to Alyssa_Liss, I’ve got a few garden centres near me so I’ll go and have a look and see if any of them stock them and the stockings, to be honest I hadn’t even thought of looking in a Garden Centre. I saw them a while ago at Cadbury’s World, and was looking at them but didn’t know who to buy one for, so I left it. I wish I’d bought one now, as I know who to give one to.

Sally sorry to hear that the fair wasn’t as successful as it should have been for you. Your items are fantastic, and I am sure it would have been the weather that put people off going. Well done for sticking it out for as long as you did.

Great easel cards bunbun – my favourite is the blue birthday wishes one.

Thanks for the info on Promarkers Rusty – I’ve got them on my Christmas list, but wasn’t sure which ones to go for, so your advice is really helpful.

Kim-possible great idea for an advent calendar, may have to borrow that idea for next year, my kids would love it.

Paddingtondoo – your Christmas Tilly card is gorgeous.

Rainmac – glad you have had a great weekend in London.

Had a chance to make a couple of cards today so have added them to my blog.

Have put the christmas cards I managed to make this afternoon on my blog
  • Some beautiful cards on the blogs, too many to mention!! CT I love your cards, I love the santa paper!! Dragonllew what are the round bits you have used for Baubles?? beautiful cards!!

Rainmac - Sounds like you had a fabby time!! and sounds like the boys did aswell ;) you are a lucky lady having so many goodies!! x

Well I have spent the last hour emptying out fish tank, a lovely lady came from freegle and picked it up to take it to its new home!! It wasn't a massive tank but I have a big open space where it used to be. Think tomorrow I need to move things around a bit and see if I can fill the gap, although OH has told me I am not allowed to move anything!!

  • omg there has been 8 pages since i came on to catch up on but my bed is calling soon so i will have to do it tomorrow. I just need your help. I went to a craft shop at the weekend and shock hubby came in with me and even bigger shock he said i could have a machine from santa :j:j:j
I just need to chose. But the shop was closing in 10 mins and i haven't got a clue about what machine does what, which is best or what to go for.

The shop had sidekicks, Texture Boutique Embossing Machine, bigshot normal and bigshot express. They didn't have a cuttlebug but this would also be an option. So i am very confussed! Hubby said i can have any one of them. Both the big shots had a small bundle of dies with them and were £75 for the normal and £99 for the express. I know lots of you have the cuttlebug how much are they and are they just as good as i am thinking they would take up less space.
:)Mummy to 2 wonderful boys :)

I think THE-WIFE has a bigshot? I have a cuttlebug and I couldn't be without mine now, the best bit about the cuttlebug is that the flaps fold up so you don't have 2 sticky out bits to worry about, I don't know if this is the same on the bigshot?

Personally If you had a set price to spend i.e hubby said you have a budget of £75 then I would go for a cuttlebug and buy a couple of embossing folders/nesties for it ;)

No idea if the cuttlebug is just as good as the bigshot but I would imagine that they are both similar as they both do the same kind of thing??

Fab thing for your hubby to do ;)

Thankyou Dragonllew ;) I shall have a look in there :)

Louby I've got the Spellbinders Wizard machine 'cos I fell in love with nesties and now have a serious addiction to them. Either the Cuttlebug or the pink and black Big Shot is good for all die cutting and embossing. There a fab and very knowledgeable lady called Ikki who has a brilliant blog here all about the cuttlebug machine.
