Rainmac - how did it go????????
Ok, working backwards, the craft fair today went well, I think. I sold nearly all the post-it note holders (2 left), decorated notebooks (1 left)and teabag cards (3 left) I had made. I only sold 10 cards so that has shown me to try other avenues to try and sell cards or to give up making them for selling and just make them for giving. I sold other bits too so I've got good ideas on what I would make to sell at a Xmas fair and that was the main objective for doing this today. I didn't sell any nappy cakes (only had 4)
but got lots of interest
and gave my details to at least 10 people so hopefully something will happen from that. I have taken a couple of pics of my stall so will pop those on my blog during the week.
Saturday was my dad's birthday meal. We had a fab time and I got him some huge silver number balloons of his age which he loved. We were home late and we were all so tired so pretty much fell into bed as soon as we got home (apart from the OH who had had delivered a new xbox game so he stayed up really late playing that
Friday was the U2 concert and it was absolutely brilliant, more so than I could ever imagine. My OH said I was like a little kid in a massive sweet shop as I was soooo excited. The guys are my heros and were completely on form and brilliant in every way . For those of you on Facebook, my OH has put a pic of me on my page which is me waiting for U2 to arrive on stage.
Before going to London, I phoned the dentist about my abscess and was told to take maximum ibuprofen and continue with the same anti-biotics. I thought I was being fobbed off but by about 9pm Friday night at the concert I could tell my mouth was feeling far less painful and that has continued so I think the pills just needed another day to really get working.
After that mammoth weekend I am Knackered with a captial K but happy. I have 3 nappy cakes to make and get delivered to the florist tomorrow but all I am going to do is tweak the ones I took to the fair today so they shouldn't take too long to put together. This week needs to be spent getting back on top of my housework as it has gone by the by this last week with everything that has gone on.
I am going to do the draw for the swap partners on Crafty Place for the tri-fold card tomorrow so watch out for that oneAlong with housework I am going to try and get up to date with challenge/swap makes this week.

Rainmac It sounds like you have had a thoroughly enjoyable but exhausting weekend. I am so glad things went well for you, I don't know about catching up on the housework it sounds like you need to put your feet up and rest for a few days!! I'm exhausted just reading your post lol. Hope things are settling down on the abcess front too.
Melissa Sorry to hear baby isn't settled today, is it hot and sticky where you live, it is here in Doncaster, I've felt a bit grizzly myself today. Hopefully a cooler day tomorrow0 -
Thank you for the kind comments on my cards it was so hard trying not to use red green or gold.
Hels if you need anymore trees just give me a shout. When i finally took it out of the box it was great to use and so easy even kaitlyn could do it. I won't tell her you sent one on its way to her ,she's over excited as it is . She has spent ages choosing things for each card and she has spent weeks on jennies and 2 weeks looking for things for flourgirls even demanding a trip to the craft shop lol. She posted them at the end of last week and asked me every hour since if the postman will have been yet. Please god he delivers them tomorrow.
melissa sorry to hear elliot has been a little unsettled hopefully it won't be for long.Cross Stitch Challenge Member Number 20

Craftgranny - I'm feeling left out! Please can you pm your address so I can sent Kaitlyn a card?
I've been stuggling most of today with my non red, gold, green card only to find I need some coloured card stock, oh well, an excuse to go shopping tomorrow!
Flourgirl - I did a bit of stitching the other day in preparation for the challenge on here & enjoyed doing it so I'll pm you, if I may, for the pattern you offered.0 -
