Just got back from doctors with OH..........doctor put on grave face......checked him all over and gave him some anti biotics size of torpedos and extra strong pain killers (maybe we'll get some sleep tonight !). Has to go to local hospital for chest xray within next two days.........if no better by Friday I'm to ring for ambulance to take him to hospital............so, fingers crossed the torpedos do their job.
I'm now 'head chef' as well as 'nurse'...........two jobs I'm not that good at.....................lol
(frozen fish pie I should manage do you think ?)
I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

My OH works in IT and IT security and he has no problems with me having a blog. You must ensure you have current anti-virus software on your PC (not bcause of having a blog but just as you are accessing the internet). There are no details about you on your blog e.g. address, bank account number ;) etc unless you choose to add them so you are sort of annonymous. I think you should only do it if you feel comfortable with it, otherwise you will worry about it. Does that help? x

My OH works in IT as well and other than thinking my blog is sad and teasing me about the number of followers he has no problems with it at all - I do have an email address on my profile but it's not my usual one if you get what I mean.

Hope OH is ok Mary - sounds a bit worrying - I'm a rubbish chef and nurse as well - can't be good at everything or should that be anything :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Mary - I do hope the 'torpedo pills' do their job and your OH doesn't have to go for x-rays. Do your local takeaways deliver? Purely in the interest of market research you could test them........:rotfl:

Big thankyou to Dragonllew for the CP swap stash, it arrived yesterday, and will enjoy making some cards from the stash you sent at the weekend.

Paddington and Rainmac thankyou for your input, I think I will get a "new" e mail address, I think thats what scared me as the one I use is so "shall I show you how dumb I am" obvious, and when blogger put it as part of my blog url I paniced, so back to the drawing board. and wait till grandson2 comes next month to do the" how did you do that and am I supposed to sort it" conversation. I will make millionares shortbread and smile sweetly. :confused:well its worked before. (2 Dads 4 Bros1 Husband 3 Sons and 2 Grandsons) Oh and I have never changed a plug, lightbulb, cleaned a window or gutter but have on occasions put out the rubbish.

    Ducking for cover now

OAP - I like your style!!! I only changed my first lightbulb a few years ago when I went to work for Mclean homes - I thought I was going to get sacked on my first day - I hadnt a clue!
  • Well done OAP! If I didn't put the rubbish out we'd look like something out of the life of grime :rotfl:.
I have never and have no intention of ever cooking a Sunday or Xmas dinner :D.
Don't think OH or DD would let me as they would think I was trying to poison them - I offered to cook OH a meal for his birthday and he just looked very frightened :rotfl::rotfl:

  • I'm allowed to cook but i'm not allowed to change a lightbulb. I turn the electric off at the mains then change the bulb cos i'm scared to death of electric . Drives em all mad as they have to go round and reset all the alarm clocks and the microwave clock and the cooker one . lol.
Well done on your win mumhug. Nice when one of us wins something.

Mary hope your oh feels better soon it sounds quite horrid for him poor thing.

No matter how much life knocks you down, it's your ability to get back up, brush yourself off and face your next set of challenges that makes you stronger
  • :( Feeling all sorry for myself now. Changed my first light bulb and fitted my first plug at aged 7. Have to do all the cooking as it takes DD hours to make a meal (usually end up going to the chippy as I'm too hungry to wait). Walk the dogs, clean their mess from the garden, mow the lawn, cut the hedges, put the rubbish out, do all the decorating... Poor me!
But... I have control of the remote (in my bedroom at least), the bed to myself, the toilet seat is always down, party til dawn if I feel like it (or later ;) ).

Mary - hope OH is okay. Ignore above, I'm only jealous really!
some people grin and bear it, others smile and do it :)
