Endowements ending next April

I have two Endowements ending in April 10.
I think that both will be short of the targets but not by a great deal.
The two are with different compaines but I am hoping the final bonus will make up most of the short fall.
When should I contact these companies for a up to date forecast.
If these are short of say £10,000 when would you applie for another repayment mortgage.
