Welcome Finance

Hi everyone this is the first time i have used any type of forum. Hopefully i'm doing it right. Now i have a problem with Welcome Finance these guys keep calling at my house like once or twice a week at 8:00 am for my ex partner. My ex one morning got up and left all his stuff including his debt with these people about 8 weeks. Not heard from him since, tried to contact him at his job, but he had handed in his notice there. Now the loan would have to be a personal loan as i live in a council house i presume. Hes not on list at the council for living at my address no more as i had him removed, just me and my 2 week old son. Welcome Finanace come so early as me and my son are resting and wakes us up. I don't answer the door but i know its them as they slip a letter through the letter box. I would like to write a letter to these people and inform them on the situation so they can stop calling around. They probably already know as i have told the postoffice to refuse all of my ex's mail. Sorry for going on Amy

  • I would write them a letter sending signed for to ensure you have proof the have got the letter, advising them that he no longer lives with you. Best to send to their head office in Nottingham - ruddington fields is the address. If possible pass them on to his parents address. They are like dogs with a bone, they can then chase him else where.

Look to change what ever number they are calling you on. Contact your service provider and say you are having harrasment calls and wish to change your number.

Do not let them get to you, always remind them this is NOT your loan and NOT your problem.
  • Thanks for the reply. I have already changed my number with BT and unfortunality his parents have past away. I will just write to them is it worth making a photo copy of my council tax bill showing that he doesn't live here anymore.
  • Welcome Finance are a ruthless company and more than likely they will keep coming to your property until they speak to you directly.

Not sure if you are aware but the company are in ALOT of debt at the moment, from what I can recall they are at least £500 million in debt so they are trying to collect as much debt as they can by whatever means however if he is not present they cannot do anything.

Is the council tenancy now in your name only aswell as your council tax bill?
If so just show them those documents once they come to the door (as sending a letter will take 10 times longer to get this sorted). DO NOT let them step one foot in your door though (or talk through the window). Also stress that if they come to your property again after showing them the documents that you will call the police as they are harrassing you and is the last thing both you and your 2 week old son need.

Tell them to do a home & employment trace as this is the only possible way they can find him. If he works provide his full work details and tell them to go there (if you have them).

Hope that helps you in some way... :o)
