I went into my normal place and asked for the trainee to do it - bless her, it took AGES, but she cut and coloured it - not too badly at all, and was watched like a hawk by all the other girls in there, they came and helped her out when she wasnt sure what she was doing, and the highlights, cut and blow dry came to the princely sum of £15.

Being a bloke, yours would be pennies Im sure if a trainee did it - just go in and ask!Do not meddle in the affairs of dragons, for you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup0 -
Google your local hairdressing college and give them a call, or phone a salon you like and ask them when they have trainee nights.0

Go to a corner shop type barbers, will cost less than a fiver, much cheaper than any hairdresser.
Or find a mate with some clippers.....
Or shave it off.....
Or grow it long!
Seriously, I've only been to a hairdresser twice in my whole life, go for a simple cut and it is easily maintained by a helpful friend or relative, mine is long and one length so you only need to be able to tell if you've cut a straight line!0 -
Don't live in Reading but have you tried mobile hairdresser? I pay mine £8 for a wet cut in the comfort of my own home. Considering I used to pay upwards of £30 in a salon and I never liked how they dried it £8 is a bargain.
Likewise smaller barbers shops seem quite cheap but I guess it depends on what you want doing to it.I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knife
