Talk about robbing the poor to give to the rich.
Sorry if this is posted in wrong place, but wasn't sure where to post.
I received a personally addressed junk mail letter today from Provident Personal Credit, although not interested looked through & was incensed to see they charge Typical APR of 177% & by their own figures (which they claim are affordable & convinient), taking out a loan of £300 means total amount of repayments amount £495, which is outrageous.
But what I also find astonishing is a reputable company like Argos, has joined forces with this seedy loan shark of a company, by allowing them to offer what they call an Easy Shop Card, to use in Argos for the priviledge of APR of 177%.
Although this does not affect me personally, I really think Argos should be brought to answer some questions regarding, why they have associated them selves with a company who is obviously in the buisness of making alot of money out of the poorest people in society.
Sorry if I'm ranting but this has really made my blood boil.
