Hello
I know lots of people have asked this, but I can't find the answer on any threads.
I'm self employed and use my own car for work. I'm a reporter, so have to travel all over the place for work. Some people on here say they claim for their journey TO work, but not home. Is this allowed?
If so, I'm assuming the best way is to just do the 40p/mile rather than working out this, that and the other?
Thank you for being patient and helping me

There are two ways of doing it as I understand it - you either claim 40p a mile or register the car to the business and claim for part of your servicing, tax and insurance costs as well as fuel for business travel.
