Windows XP Home Upgrade

Hi
I am in no way technically gifted but from what i've read i assume this is a good deal - as i am thinking of upgrading from Windows ME - dont play online games, but am thinking of getting an Ipod Video and they need XP/2000.
It also, appears to be the hassle free official type of way, rather than getting a mate's copy etc.
Also, are other outlets likely to reduce their prices now that Amazon have?
Finally, sisters a student and isn't there a student version? Is this similarly priced?0 -
Don't know about others reducing prices but given that an OEM version is around £55 from the cheapest possible source, a full upgrade version (which is portable between machines) for the same price is a good deal.
If you ever decide to buy a new machine this copy from Amazon will still have a resale value on Ebay, whereas OEM versions won't.You don't get medals for sitting in the trenches.0
