I have been looking for a while for a cheap but realistic flying heli and found this at Maplins.
It's reduced from £49.99 to £29.99.
I got one today and it's brilliant, 3 channel so, up/down, left/right, forward/back (have'nt mastered this yet), unlike the other cheapo's that only go up and down.
And heres a link for the flying video, the video is at the bottom of the webpage (scroll down) :-

Aria have some for £19.92 although I have no idea how they compare quality wise - was tempted but just about everybody who bought one had crashed and trashed it after a few days so thought it probably a waste of money!

I don't think the aria heli is better. It's a simple 2 channel heli that (from the videos) looks barely controllable. The maplin type heli is a clone of the blade-runner type, whiich - while it has very limited speed - is at least very controllable and can hover properly.0 -
mmmmmm, can anyone recommend a light wifi webcam for mucho geekiness?0

got the Aria one last christmas.....good fun for the money...paid about £20 including delivery on an offer they had.The battery lasts about 10 minutes, it definitely can't be used indoors and is best on a large field....even gardens are a bit small for it.0
