Mortgage name swap?

Hi there,
i read a few messages about it and I am still confused.
I would like to swap my name with my girlfriend's name for a property on a existing mortgage. What can I do?
New mortgage completely or there is a better and easier way?

Ask a solicitor about a transfer of equity. The mortgage provider would have to be happy that she could single handedly pay the mortgage0

You can take a borrower off a mortgage and replace them with someone else ( as long as the lender is happy) but if you are the sole borrower, you cannot transfer it to someone else.... you have to apply for a whole new mortgageI am a Mortgage adviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a Mortgage Adviser, so you need to take my word for it.
