Advice regarding sis in law going BR and her (and her mums) bank acct

Hiya all

We're helping my sis in law with her BR, just wanted to ask a question.

Her mum and her have a bank account in the same branch, same bank. When she goes BR will her bank try and take the money from her mums account that she owes?

I am hoping this is not a possibility, just need confirmation for my own peace of mind.

Her mum is in her 70's and their accounts are not joint.

Cheers

In which case they just need to keep an eye on it, if the account is frozen then ring the bank immediately for it to be reinstated. Alternatively close one of their accounts before BR - preferably sil if there is no balance on it.
