There is no general right to offset between different banks..
I'm afraid I confused the two banks and assumed that all the a/cs were with the same bank so Natwest can't raid her Halifax a/c0 -
i think there is some confusion sorry.
Her ex's accounts all of them are with Natwest
Her and ex's joint account is with Natwest
Her personal account is with Halifax (prior to this it was with Natwest)
