I have filled my statement of affairs out and due in court on the 17th august,i am getting very worried and confused about what to do with the money thats in my accout.
I have a co-op cashminder account and the money that is in there is housing benefit and JSA to pay my rent and DD. Is it best to take the money out before going to court because i dont want the judge or the OR taking it. On the statement of affairs i have to tell them how much cash in hand ive got so if i take the money out can they ask me to give it to them.
I have been told that Britannia have merged with the co-op, does anyone no if the co-op will change their policies towards bankrupty.

First thing out the way....WELCOME!I have filled my statement of affairs out and due in court on the 17th august,i am getting very worried and confused about what to do with the money thats in my accout. Is this the cashminder account? if so it wont be a prob...
I have a co-op cashminder account and the money that is in there is housing benefit and JSA to pay my rent and DD. Is it best to take the money out before going to court because i dont want the judge or the OR taking it Neither the court or the OR will be interested in a basic account...as long as you have just enough in the account to cover bills etc then it'll not be touched its only if you've £100000's of pounds stashed in the account then they would ask to see details... On the statement of affairs i have to tell them how much cash in hand ive got so if i take the money out can they ask me to give it to them. That question is really aimed at people with businesses etc not really personal bankrupts so leave it blank
I have been told that Britannia have merged with the co-op, does anyone no if the co-op will change their policies towards bankrupty If you already have a cashminder account I cant see it causing any problems..although I did hear whispers about the merger last year 2008...heard nothing since so I dont think its happened as yet.
Hope that helps you feel a little better
