silken tofu

I bought some silken tofu about a month ago and now none of the local supermarkets or the healthfood shop seem to stock it. Has anyone got any ideas where I could track it down? I could do an online order somewhere, but i don't want to spend a fortune in postage, or buy a whole crate of the stuff!

Most larger supermarkets stock the one chalkysoil mentions, it can be in obscure parts of the shop though so you may have to hunt for it.
If you have an independent wholefood shop near you many are happy to order in products - it's worth asking. Chinese supermarkets may also stock it. Have a dig on the internet as wholefood shops and Chinese supermarkets don't always advertise themselves well so there may be some local ones that you don't know.0 -
Our health food shop is now an organic hairdressers
So you are right, definitely worth googling to find the next nearest!

If you are near chinese cashncarry/supermarket, Wingyip, Ho hing, then you can pickup a block of 800g tofu for about £1.10/1.20More0

Have you tried Holland and Barret? it seems like something they would sell or get in for you if you asked.0

Yep, Chinese Supermarkets, much cheaper too.0

If you eat tofu a lot, you can get massive tubs of them at chinese supermarkets. My parents [I'm chinese and my parents run a takeaway...] tell me that WingYip tends to be cheaper.Undergrad law student. Take my advice with a pinch of salt! :rotfl:0

There's a difference between silken tofu ( better for desserts) and the other kind like the Cauldron one in Morrisons etc nice for marinading, stir frying etc. I'm a tofu addict
