I had a really strange experience today.

I was in a car showroom in South London for the car circuits on Bare, I had already told the salesman which car I was interested in, and he had gone to speak to his sales manager to see how much discount he could give.

Anyway, as I was waiting, a man came in and went straight up to a salesman and asked for the exact same spec car as I had, and gave exact scenario details as I just had!!!

It was so strange that I am convinced he was also there doing a mystery shop!

So... any body in South London today doing a car showroom circuit??!!

I had exactly the same thing happen to me a few months ago in Manchester. I hadn't spoken to anyone yet, was just browing but this other woman was doing what I was suppose to be doing. I made a quick exit and decided to go back later. So off I went to the next car dealership and low and behold, 25 minutes later she turned up! I then went to the next one and she arrived again but then must have realised what was going on and made a quick exit herself this time. Really, really weird isn't it?
I think BARE must allocate more than one shopper to the scenario and the shops to compare notes. Seems a strange way to do things.

My scanner has decided to break on me :(

Fortunately it will still print as I have 3 jobs tomorrow, but will have to fit in a trip to the apple shop at the same time which is annoying as I'm not shopping in that area!
  • yay I finally got torso shop after 9 months with RE! It's not my local though, that was was swiped from under my nose while I was reading the note argh! Need to get another job in Rugby on the same day to make it worthwhile!

Ive been told with other jobs Bare do that they do allocate more than one shopper per job but try to get them to schedule them for different days eg the one I was offered they wanted me to do during the week as they'd another shopper doing it at the weekend.
It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

  • Does anyone know what the minimum age for mystery shopping is with the various companies. I vaguely remember when I signed up that the min. age for one was 16, and most were 18. Anyway, my oldest dd is nearly 17 and will be travelling to college this year. She will have blocks of free time in 3 different towns, so part time work will be hard to find. Mystery shopping would be ideal for her.

Tonight she signed up with RE, and got the instant "Your application has been reviewed and approved" within a couple of seconds. Obviously no person has yet laid eyes on her application. We did give her real DOB, and the drop down box took birthdates from 1993 and older - she's 1992.

But, now that she has completed all of the profile info, she can't see any jobs available to her. I know that she will be a probie until after her first job is completed. I'm also guessing that she won't be able to see any jobs involving alcohol purchases etc. But, logging in I can see lots of underground sandwiches, and she can't see any.

    Any ideas?

Anyway, with other companies I have the option of viewing the questionairre but I cant find it on this one? Am I bein stupid or am I not allowed to see it until after the visit?

Oh really Miss Superior know it all. It is people like you that have made me decide to no longer post on here.

If you do not like the language go join another forum more suited to your superiority.

And don't dare tell posters their language is inappropriate.Try taking a trip to Posssil and remember and take a Rottweiler with you as you will need it.

My post was meant to be humorous Possil is where they buy only Buckfast ( I was going to say Buckie but no doubt you would consider that too inappropriate language)

It is people like you who has made many of my friends I have made on here no longer post.

I have an Aba-i job today too and haven't printed a questionnaire. Looking back at the last job I did for them, I didn't print one either so I think there isn't a link until you complete it. The briefing notes are pretty comprehensive though and were certainly enough to cover all aspects last time. Hope your jobs go well today.

    Hi guys

This thread's been a bit off topic lately. If everyone could stick to the subject so people looking for relevant info can find it quickly and easily that would be great, and please remember to be friendly, it's what MSE's about.

    Thanks!

    Andrea :)
