Did my first dine-in job for Gyp this evening, I've only ever done drive-thru's before, but as you've read, I took this, and one more as a favour for them.
JESUS.H.CHRIST! - You weren't wrong about the floor show. Cleaner came straight out with her mop and bucket. I was asked to take a seat, they brought the "meal" to me (after a looong wait time), and I asked the server (the manager) for "a VAT receipt" (thinking it wouldn't sound as obvious, knowing full well that I'd just get a bog-standard receipt anyway!). She went to get it. I stood up to get some bbq dip and realised there was no dip-counter so went to ask at the till. Walked past the cleaner who had a look of horror on her face, and asked me, in a very worried face if everything was ok.
!!!!!!, it's joke, they know when we're visiting and I don't care what anyone says, they get told. It's bull**t.
But, as long as they keep playing along, I'll keep doing last minute jobs (if it means gettin 14 others each time!).
Btw, the report wasn't great. The toilet floor was like n ice rink because she'd mopped it in such a hurry.

Evening all,
Well tempers are getting 'fraid (just been reading back!)
My daughters got chicken pox so I've been a little slow off the mark and got nothing tonight.
Oh well!
Sorry to hear that. My grown up sister in Norwich had it last week.
And we are all fine now. RE did a new scenario for the pharmacy where you get to buy Valium. So we are all calm and serene. 'Cept ukmonkey didn't read the briefing notes propely saw the V and got Viagra. Maybe that's why he's not posting at the mo. Bit busy maybe.Clique member no 1.:D0 -
Often, [though far from always] yes.

And I think I'm beggining to see your point of view about the chemist job.
Still, when you're new to a forums, it's hardly going to endear you to the regulars if you come on with a stinking attitude. At least be pleasent for a few days, then let the stinking attitude out...! :rotfl::rotfl:
Welcome to the forum.
I agree. I have been a bit of a stinker and rambled on a bit, not caring for the nicities of the atmosphere here. It was my first post and I was in a foul mood about this RE company's treatment of me. But I apologise to anyone who I offended, if they genuinely tried to help.
I guess that's another few points deducted from my account.
At least I got a packet of headache pills out of this job. Whoops! Too vague and opinionated. I mean 'at least I got a pack of 12, 400m Pharmacy Strength Ibuprofen caplets from that pokey little hole (Whoops! I mean [brand] Pharmacy outlet, located [road]). It looks like they might get rid of my thumping headache (Whoops! I mean they will remove the pain on the left side of my temple that started at exactly 8pm on the evening of the 26th August 2009.
See! I've already taken some hints from some of you objective report writers on here.0 -

I agree with you....free food etc is such a bonus. But it involves hard work, checking every site available, answering every alert as quickly as possible. Staring at the screen every evening waiting for the little number in the corner of RE`s page to change! Jumping up from the sofa every time there is an ad break...just in case you missed something.....cutting off phone calls from friends and family cos you just got a ding on the pc and it may be for your next meal! Coming home from work, sticking the kettle on and by the time it has boiled the pc is fired up and let the checking commence! Getting up that bit earlier in the morning to send in a report from the night before so as not to lose those precious points! :rotfl:Oh and I forgot the juggling involved in the diary to fit as many as possible in the same area on the same day! And FINALLY the weight gain.....................yep it can be worth it0 -

That pretty much sums it up! Fortunately I've just drummed it into myself that if I wasn't "working" I'd just be sat on my !!!!. Might as well earn a little money instead!0 -
Did you have to nip in 1st and ask where one parks one's BMW without the locals nicking it.:j
I doubt they would have blinked an eyelid if I'd said that! When I googled the road name (didn't even have to put Bristol) the first hit is a link to this article - http://www.people.co.uk/news/news/tm_objectid=16254597%26method=full%26siteid=93463-name_page.html
Including such gems asIT'S Britain's most dangerous street - a moral cesspit where the pavements are heaving with killers, junkies, hookers and their pimps.0 -
Can one of the betting experts help me please?
I've just checked my betting slips for the GAP assignments I did last week for them.
One of my horses was a non-runner. Does this mean I can get my money back? And if so is there a time limit to do this? And can I go to any of their shops or do I have to go back to the one where i put the bet on?
I have my final betting assignment tomorrow, fingers crossed for a win as I am skint!Happy New Year :beer:0
