I pay cash in at the post office just put your card in the machine, money is in account almost immediately.0

In the Post Office you're meant to have a paying in slip and an envelope. I was only sent envelopes when I opened the account so I just put the cheque in the envelope and took it to the Post Office. Give the Co-op a call and they'll send whatever is required.0

The envelopes are for cheques, you need your account card to pay in cashLook down your nose at me and I thumb my nose back at you.

As has been said, you give the PO cashier your card plus the cash and they swipe the card and add the money, it shows in your account straight away. You only send cheques in the envelopes.0

I can't speak from experience but as I understand it, the cashminder account is a basic bank account where you won't get a cheque book, an overdraft facility or a debit card so basically the potential of you getting overdrawn or any other kind of credit is theoretically nil. I think they would probably still do a credit search however to make sure there was no CIFAS entries or that you aren't bankrupt.
You do get a debit card. These accounts are available to bankrupts.Look down your nose at me and I thumb my nose back at you.

It is badged as a visa debit. But it still "debits" from your account
