Breathe Right Nasal Strips

Whenever I get a cold I end up with a bunged up nose for several weeks afterwards. I had a cold a couple of weeks ago and as usual I constantly have one nostril blocked, then it changes to the other one. I have found that pinching my nose outwards (if that makes any sense) makes it a lot easier to breathe, but can't really do this all the time. I assume this would be a similar action to what the strips would do?
So! Has anyone tried these? Do they actually work?!

I bought these for my OH because he snores sometimes.. they did seem to work but they wouldn't stay on , after a couple of minutes they would unstick and he couldn't get them to stick again. I think they might work but only if you can get them to stay stuck on...#6 of the SKI-ers Club :j

I tried these for my snoring - they didn't stop it, but they did stay stuck to my nose till morning - I have kept them for the same purpose as you want them - I think they'll come in handy to improve my sleep next time I have a cold.
I did wash all the greasiness from my face and hands and dried them well before using the strips, then h eld them in place for a good twenty seconds.Member of the first Mortgage Free in 3 challenge, no.19

I have used them and find them really good. I don't use them now as they are so expensive. I find that going up and down the stairs helps relieve the bunged up feeling, and sleeping on one side with the bunged up nostril at the top too.0

Careful if you have sensitive skin. My father bought some to try and stop his snoring and reacted so badly to the adhesive that he could have got a job easily as Rudolph at Christmas!0

If your nose stays blocked for weeks after a cold you should try decongestant tablets.
I tried the strips but didn't find them much good but a few drop of Olbas oil on the pillow helps me breathe easy when my hayfever is bad.~Laugh and the world laughs with you, weep and you weep alone.~:)

I used these for the first time last night (I've a cold) and I found them to be helpful. I used the sensitive adhesive ones though, and they stayed on overnight with no problems. The IVF worked;DS born 2006.0

I've got Sudafed which used to work, but now doesn't. Sinex works for all of 5 minutes, then it's bunged up again!
The oil sounds like a good idea though, i'll have a look for some.Grocery challenge - Nov: £52/£100
