Jenn, you only get one life, live it as best you can.

Don't worry about any 'shame' regarding bankruptcy. In reality it really doesn't exist except for a very few narrow minded people, who wouldn't be the kind you would care about anyway.

You've been through an awful time, you owe it to yourself to do somehing positive to make it better.

Also for me the "shame" that i may feel wouldn't even compare to the relief i felt when i finally realised my problems and started to face up to them and decided to head down the BR route.

Coming here and posting/reading is already the start of your new life of being debt and stress free :D

Dont ever feel ashamed or scared, life is hard.At least you have the guts to admit you have money problems, give yourself a pat on the back for it.
I am not an expert on BR just someons who has been there and been discharged.
Everyone on here has brilliant advice,so any questions just post.
    Good luck.
  • Hi ya,

I can honestly say that after the last year of trying to get funds together, and finally going Br (last Monday) it has been the best thing I/we (oh) have ever done.

When I came out of court I actually felt like a weight had been lifted from my shoulders, and had the best nights sleep I've had for ages. I had a Execution of Warrant outstanding from Feb and I haven't heard anything from them but knew that they could turn up at anytime. So struggling to get fees together then having a charity pay for them was such a relief. I couldn't book the date quick enough when those cheques arrived on my door mat.

Just got back from a week at my mums - nr Skeggy - and feel so relaxed now. Not had any calls either.

Just waiting to hear from OR.

If you've been advised by yr doc, then do it.
